5 Basic But Not Basic Rules Of LinkedIn Posting

Friday Edition

Magic Trick #33 for you -

This week I was asked a lot about some things creators miss out on LinkedIn posting.

My answer was quick - The basics.

Hear me out - It gets overwhelming when you create content on LinkedIn.
100 advices. 100 critics.

Shut the noise.

If you are doing the basics right and improving every day; success is close.

Here are the 5 things you should stick with -

1/ Make it easy to read -

- Aim for a low readability score (1-2 is best) so your posts are easy to understand.

- Keep sentences to 1 line and paragraphs to a maximum of 3 lines.

- Add spaces after every three lines and use listicles to break up text.

My readability score is always around 1-2

2/ Start with a really strong hook -

- LinkedIn’s preview feature varies, so keep hooks under 45 characters to ensure they’re seen.

- Use a one-liner hook at the beginning of your post to grab attention.

- A captivating first line encourages people to read more.

Here are my hooks from this week

3/ Add a P.S. for Extra Engagement -

- Use a P.S. to invite more interaction, like asking questions or sharing updates.

- Make it easy to respond with short answers, such as a number or a quick comment.

- A good P.S. encourages/ provides your readers a chance to engage more with your post.

I use P.S. to push more conversation

4/ Create a Rhythm -

- Structure your posts with a rhythm: 3 lines, then 1 line, and repeat.

- Break your content into small, easy-to-digest sections.

- This makes your posts easier to write and read and helps keep the reader’s attention.

Do you feel this post has a certain rhythm?

5/ Finish with a strong ending

- End your posts with a “power ending” to leave a lasting impression.

- Most readers will react to this part, so make it impactful.

- A strong ending adds authority and makes your post memorable.

My ending from a post this week.
