But the OATH format works almost as well as magic.
You know what a marketing funnel is, now imagine a persuasive pyramid.
The OATH framework forms the building blocks, taking your audience from initial interest all the way to taking action.
(O)ffer: Clearly outline the value you bring to the table here. What problem does your product or service solve? What benefit can your audience expect?
(A)rguments: The next layer is a solid argument. Showcase features, highlight positive customer testimonials, or present data-driven results to build trust and credibility. In short, anything that can back your offer.
(T)ime Sensitivity: Create urgency, make your audience feel like it’s now or never. This could be a special discount expiring soon, a limited-time bonus item, or early access to a new product. Scarcity motivates action!
(H)ook: The final layer is your call to action (CTA). Tell your audience exactly what you want them to do next, whether it's signing up for a free trial, purchasing a product, or attending a webinar. Make it clear and irresistible.
Now, let's see the OATH framework in action once:
Offer: "Introducing our Fitness Tracker 3.0 that helps you finally get the worth out of your gym membership"
Arguments: "Our tracker has a 4.7-star rating and titanium technology used by professional athletes.
Over 1 million users have experienced significant improvements in their fitness levels."Time Sensitivity: "For the next one month only, get a 25% off your purchase!"
Hook: "Click here to claim your discount and start your fitness journey today!"
